This work package will examine the scalability challenges associated with Advanced Mission Systems from both a hardware and software perspective.
Within the context of this programme, scalability is defined as the ability of an advanced mission system architecture and it’s associated hardware and software to satisfy the mission and vehicle control requirements for a range of UAS class types/vehicle sizes and its ability to cope with their varying workload or throughput efficiently.
This work package will focus on the concepts and technologies that support scalable advanced mission system architectures.
A set of related experiment goals will also be established to be assessed by the integration activities under work package 7. A number of theoretical case studies identified relating to system scalability will also be completed over the duration of the programme.
