Unmanned Warrior Event 2016

The Royal Navy sponsored Unmanned Warrior (UmW) event took place in September – October 2016 with activities taking place in Cardigan Bay and off the west coast of Scotland. AMS DE-RISC technologies were demonstrated in the Cardigan Bay element.

Three AMS DE-RISC Work Package themes were integrated into the UmW event, hosted by the Thales WATCHKEEPER UAS they supported the demonstration UmW vignettes by facilitating the production of timely and accurate intelligence. These technologies included the cross-cuing of disparate sensors, the management of multiple UAS from a common Command and Control node and advanced data storage and exploitation techniques.

The UmW event culminated in a two-day period of live flight technology demonstrations attended by both Industry and MOD and gained universally positive feedback.
